Text 1: "I will now recite the prayer of 'Narasimha Kavacha,' which was sung long ago by Prahlada Maharaja. This Kavacha grants piety, complete protection, and dispels all dangers!"

Text 2: "This prayer bestows all riches (sarva-sampat), the opportunity to reach the heavenly planets (swarga), or liberation (moksha). Before reciting it, one must focus their mind on Lord Narasimha, who is seated on a golden throne, adorned with lions, known as Simhasana."

Text 3: "Lord Narasimha, with a serene face, sits on His throne. He has three eyes, and His body shines like the full autumn moon. His eternal consort, Sri Lakshmi Devi, sits beside Him, embracing Him gently. In His divine form, we can see the manifold manifestations of supreme splendor and wealth — vibhooti."

Text 4: "Narasimha has four arms and a soft, divine body. He is adorned with golden earrings, known as Swarna-Kundala. On His chest is a beautiful garland of lotuses, and His shoulders are decorated with gem-studded keyura armlets."

Text 5: "The flawless attire of Lord Narasimha shines like molten gold! Led by Indra, the king of heaven, the demigods humbly bow at the Lord’s feet. On the heads of the demigods are magnificent helmets adorned with precious jewels, the radiance of which illuminates the Lord’s resplendent feet."

Text 6: "In Narasimha's hands are the conch shell, the Sudarshana disc, and other divine weapons. The Lord is filled with supreme bliss. The celestial eagle, Garuda, praises Him endlessly with devotion and dedication."

Text 7: "This is the Lord Narasimha that one should invoke into the lotus of their heart, and then proceed to recite the Kavacha: 'May Narasimha, who appeared to protect the entire world, guard my head!'"

Text 8: "May the omnipresent Lord Narasimha, who emerged from the pillar, protect the results of my recitation! (May my words come true, and the mantras and prayers I have recited become effective). Let Narasimha, whose fiery eyes shine like the sun and moon, guard my eyes!"

Text 9: "Let Lord Narahari, who is pleased by the praises of the greatest sages, protect my memory (smriti). May the Lord with the lion’s nose (Simha-nasa) guard my nose. Let Narasimha, who holds the face of His eternal consort Lakshmi dear, protect my face (mukham)."

Text 10: "Let Narasimha, the lord of all knowledge (sarva-vidyaadhipa), guard my tongue (rasana). His face is as beautiful as the moon, and He is constantly glorified by Prahlada Maharaja. May He protect my mouth (vaktram)."

Text 11: "May Narasimha protect my neck (kantha)! May He guard my shoulders, having vanquished all demons, and removed the heavy burden from the Earth. Let Narasimha, whose arms are adorned with divine weapons, protect my arms!"

Text 12: "Let Deva-Varada, who blesses even the gods with His hand, protect my hands (karau)! May Lord Narasimha, attainable through the practice of yoga, guard my heart (hridaya). Let Lord Hari, who takes everything in the form of eternal time, protect my dwelling (nivasa)!"

Text 13: "Let Narasimha, who tore apart the chest and abdomen of the demon Hiranyakashipu, protect the middle part of my body! Let Narahari, whose prayers are offered by Lord Brahma, born from His lotus navel, guard my navel!"

Text 14: "May Narasimha, within whose belly reside tens of millions of universes after the destruction of the world, protect my lower body (kati). Let Narasimha, whose form is hidden in the sacred mantras, protect the hidden parts of my body."

Text 15: "Let Narasimha, who manifests in the hearts and minds of His devotees, protect my thighs (uru)! Let the Lord, who resembles a human, guard my knees (janu). May the man-lion Narikesari, who lifted the burden of demons from the Earth, protect my calves (janghe)."

Text 16: "May Lord Nriharishvara, who granted the celestial kingdom to the gods, guard my feet (pada)! Let the thousand-headed Lord (sahasra-shirsha-purusha), whose body encompasses the entire universe, protect my entire form (tanu)!"

Text 17: "May Mahograh, the fearsome Lord Narasimha in His wrath, protect me from the east! May Mahavira-Agradja, the greatest of all heroes, guard me from the southeast! Let Maha-Vishnu protect me from the south, and let Maha-Jvala, like a great fire, guard me from the southwest!"

Text 18: "May the Supreme Lord protect me from the west! Let Narasimha guard me from the northwest! May Bhushana-Vigraha, the Lord whose divine body is the ornament of all ornaments, protect me from the north!"

Text 19: "Let the benevolent Lord Narasimha, who grants all auspicious gifts, guard me from the northeast! Let Narikesari, the conqueror of death itself, protect me from the fear of the cycle of birth and death!"

Text 20: "This prayer, 'Narasimha Kavacha,' was spoken by Prahlada Maharaja. If a person chants it regularly with devotion, they will undoubtedly be freed from all sins."

Text 21: "Such a devotee of the Lord, even in this world, will gain wealth, worthy sons, and long life. Without a doubt, all of their desires will be fulfilled through the recitation of 'Narasimha Kavacha.'"

Text 22: "The person who recites this Kavacha will always be victorious, and victory will never leave them. They will not be affected by malevolent spirits residing on Earth, in the sky, or in the heavens."

Text 23: "This Kavacha is the best remedy against the venom of snakes and scorpions. It drives away Brahma-Rakshasas, Yakshas, and other harmful beings."

Text 24: "If one writes this blessed Kavacha on their hand or ties a palm leaf inscribed with it to their right arm above the elbow, they will achieve perfection in many good deeds."

Text 25: "Anyone who recites 'Narasimha Kavacha' daily at dawn, noon, and dusk (the three Sandhyas), or even once a day, will always emerge victorious among humans, demigods, or demons."

Text 26: "The one who chants this Narasimha Kavacha with a pure heart thirty-two thousand times will receive the greatest blessings of all. They will attain all the pleasures (bhukti) in this world and liberation (mukti) after death."

Text 27: "This protective prayer is the king of all mantras (Vedic hymns)! Thus, by chanting it, one will achieve success in reciting any mantra."

Text 28: "The one who wears the vertical sign of Lord Vishnu (Tilaka) on their forehead, along with ash from the sacrificial fire blessed by the chanting of 'Narasimha Kavacha,' will have nothing to fear from the malefic effects of planets."

Text 29: "If someone chants this Kavacha three times over water and gives this sanctified water to a sick person while meditating on Lord Narasimha, the ill will be cured of digestive and other ailments."

Text 30: "I offer my obeisances to Divya-Simha, the divine lion Lord Narasimha! He roars and makes evildoers weep. He menacingly claps His hands, threatening the enemies with death. He shines brilliantly, He burns and destroys demons like Hiranyakashipu. He pursues and crushes them, both on Earth and in the sky. His terrifying roar strikes fear into them. In this way, Lord Narasimha always and everywhere vanquishes demons, piercing them with His stern gaze and shaking them with hundreds of His arms."

Text 31: "Lord Narasimha is my mother (mata) and my father (pita), Narasimha is my brother (bhrata) and my dearest friend (sakha). Narasimha is knowledge (vidya) and all that is necessary for life (dravina). Narasimha is my Master, He is everything to me!"

Text 32: "Narasimha is here, and Narasimha is there; wherever I go, I see Narasimha everywhere, for He is the omnipresent Lord! Nothing in this world exists independently of Lord Narasimha, and therefore I fully surrender to Him (sharanam)."

Text 33: "The chanting of Lord Narasimha's holy name is like a thunderous roar (garjanam), scaring away the messengers of the god of death, Yamaraja! It burns away the bhava-bija — the seeds of worldly desires that pollute the heart. This chanting frees one from the fearful life within the cycle of birth and death. Thus, the holy name of Lord Narasimha brings good fortune to a person and allows them to become truly happy!"
